BASEBALL
Niles 17, Lordstown 4 (5 inn.) — The Red Dragons put up crooked numbers in the bottom half of the first two innings and cruised to the dominant win over the Red Devils. Leading the offensive onslaught was Mason Burns with a double, single and three RBIs, Brennen Hodge with a pair of hits and RBIs and AJ Sgambati lent four RBIs. Brighton Gilmour earned the win for Niles, allowing no hits, one walk and six strikeouts in four innings pitched while Marco Mollica came on in relief. The duo combined for a no-hitter. Burbridge was given the loss for Lordstown, throwing 1/3 of an inning, and allowing four walks, no strikeouts and no hits.
South Range 17, Fitch 5 (5 inn.) — An 11-run third inning from the Raiders was more than enough to get by the Falcons Friday. Jake Shumate doubled, singled twice and drove in four runs, while Gavin Hiscox tripled, singled and tallied three RBIs and Brennen Klasovsky doubled and drove in three. Klasovsky also picked up the win on the mound for South Range, allowing five hits, three walks and three strikeouts in four innings. The Fitch offense was led by Mason Petridis who belted a home run, singled and drove in three runs. Rocco DiFlorio doubled and singled and Frank Senediak tripled for the Falcons as well. Anthony Wibert was given the loss, throwing 2 1/3 innings and allowing a hit, five walks and no strikeouts.
Warren G. Harding 11, Bristol 5 — The Raiders opened up the scoring in the bottom half of the fifth and sixth innings and rolled to the win over the Panthers. Montgomery Hart earned the win on 3 1/3 innings pitched with four strikeouts, no walks and one hit. The Harding offense was led by Khalef Freeman with two hits, Jacob Borsic with a triple a pair of RBIs, Bryttain Fuller with two RBIs and Airiz Coleman Bey with three RBIs. Diesel Williams was tagged with the loss, throwing four innings and allowing four hits, one walk and recording one strikeout. Croc Thorp doubled for Bristol in the loss.

Mineral Ridge 11, Salem 8 — The Rams found themselves down by five heading into the bottom of the sixth inning, but exploded for eight runs in the frame to earn the come-from-behind win over the Quakers. Maddie Gerberry blasted a two run home run, doubled and drove in four runs. Kelcee Dye doubled, singled and drove in two runs and Sydney Wyllie notched a pair of hits. Picking up the win for Mineral Ridge was relief pitcher Lily Merolillo, throwing 2 2/3 innings. Salem statistics were not submitted.
Hubbard 17, Niles 2 (5 inn.) — The Eagles exploded for 12 hits in the crushing win over the Red Dragons Friday. Lauren Komorek slapped three hits including two doubles, Layla Songer tripled and singled, Haleigh Taylor and Alyssa Gregory each recorded two RBIs, Ashley Masluk doubled and singled, Kaylee Schultz doubled, singled and drove in two and Cara Green tallied three RBIs. In the circle for Hubbard, Schultz went the distance and allowed a pair of hits and walks, and struck out 11. Picking up the loss was Jones who threw four innings, allowing 12 hits, seven walks and collected four strikeouts.
Fitch 17, Lake 4 (5 inn.) — A flock of Falcons contributed offensively to crush the Blue Streaks. Leading the charge for Fitch at the plate was Kylie Folkwein who blasted two home runs, singled and drove in four runs while Kaliana Ray singled and doubled, Abby Toth singled twice and doubled, Samantha Severn singled, homered and drove in four, Jeweliana Farmer doubled twice, Seneca Coates doubled and Bella Baumgart hit a home run and drove in three. Kourtney Fedorek is credited with the win on the rubber for Fitch. For Lake, Peyto Ury was given the loss.
West Greene (Pa.) 5, Columbiana 2 — A lot of offense from both teams cooled after the third inning with the Pioneers holding on to top the Clippers. Payton Gilbert earned the win by throwing a complete game and allowing four hits, two walks and fanning six. Kylee Davis slapped two hits while Gilbert and Kendra Tharp both doubled and Emmaline Beazell drove in two runs for West Greene. Picking up the loss for Columbiana was Caitlynn Pleska who went 3 2/3 innings while surrendering seven hits, two walks and struck out two. Ella Dota was the bright spot on offense for the Clippers with a double and single.
Chartiers-Houston (Pa.) 6, Columbiana 3 — A three-run sixth inning was too little too late for the Clippers as the Buccaneers earned the win. Meadow Ferri went the distance for the victors, fanning 15 while only giving up four hits and two walks. Offensively for Chartiers-Houston, Ella Richey, Lauren Rush and Taryne Drilak each recorded a pair of hits. Addison Brode was tabbed with the loss, throwing a complete game while allowing no walks, nine hits and striking out five. Caitlynn Pleska tripled and singled while Ella Dota doubled for Columbiana in the loss.
