BOYS BASKETBALL

Salem 60, Hubbard 53 — The Quakers took a slim, one-possession lead heading into the fourth quarter but exploded for 22 points to earn the win and keep the Eagles at bay. Leading the Salem offensive charge was Ty Manion who clipped three shots from beyond the arc en route to a 20-point game while Deontay Steele and Colin Riesen added 19 and 12 points, respectively. In the loss for Hubbard, Jacob Hayes paced the Eagles with 20 points and Anthony Clark drilled four shots from deep on his way to 18 points.

South Range 84, Heartland Christian 53 — The Raiders crushed the Lions Monday night thanks in part to a 53-point first half. Luke Rohan led the South Range offense with a game-high 22 points while Tommy Titus lent 15 and Nate Lewis chipped in 10 points. Titus sank a trio of three-pointers and Lewis added two as well. In the loss, Colin Kalaher earned Heartland Christian top scorer status with 19 points.
