BOYS BASKETBALL
West Branch 48, Salem 30 — The Warriors started hot and kept their foot on the gas to top the Quakers. Camden Lane paced West Branch with 13 points while Jeremiah Thomas added 10 more points to lead offensively. In the loss, Ty Manion and Cletis Monroy each recorded eight points to lead Salem.
Mathews 43, Chalker 42 (OT) — A game decided by one point in overtime went the right way for the Mustangs over the Wildcats as Mathews bounced back from a loss earlier in the week. Jake Petak and Dom Toto each drilled a pair of three-pointers on their way to 14-point and 13-point nights, respectively. In the loss, Chase Learn led with 13 points while Tanner Kelson added 10 for Chalker.
Bristol 87, Maplewood 57 — The Panthers set the tone early with 28 points in the first quarter and never relented to claim the big win over the Rockets. Kaiden Kohler made three shots from three en route to a 21-point night, Jack Berry tallied 19 points and Brody Smith lent 18 to lead Bristol. Ethan Nevinski paced Maplewood with 16 points, while Kenyan Clover scored 14 and Tyson Webster added 11 points to level the Maplewood leading scorers.
South Range 44, Poland 36 — A 15-point fourth quarter willed the Raiders to the win over the Bulldogs. Luke Rohan led the offensive attack for South Range with 13 points. Also scoring 13 in the loss was Carmine Tukalo for Poland.
Lisbon 50, Leetonia 40 — The third quarter was the difference maker for the Blue Devils as they edged out the Bears Friday night. AJ Ramgeet tallied 17 points, Blaine Barnes chipped in 14 and Luke Kraft scored 11 to lead Lisbon. In the loss, Dylan Johns led Leetonia with nine points.
Canfield 72, Howland 48 — Scoring 25 points in the second quarter, the Cardinals dominated the Tigers to claim their sixth straight win. It was a true team effort for Canield as nearly every Cardinal scored, but Grant Seachrist paced the team with 18 points on six made shots from beyond the arc. In the loss, Anthony Chieffo led Howland with 10 points.

LaBrae 45, Southeast 44 — In a game decided by a point, the Vikings pulled out the win over the Pirates. Entering the final quarter, the two teams were tied at 29, but LaBrae’s 16 points powered the Vikings to the win. Marissa Levensky led LaBrae with 16 points, Riley Rowe added 11 and Angel Scruggs contributed 10 points to round out the LaBrae leading scorers. In the loss, Bailey Morris and Jenna Canale led Southeast with 14 points each.
Newton Falls 49, Brookfield 24 — The Tigers crushed the Warriors behind a strong first half performance. Addison Pope led the charge offensively for Newton Falls with 15 points, while Lilly Sait lent 12 points in the win. Brookfield statistics were not submitted.
