Youngstown State running back Jaleel McLaughlin named Preseason All-American

YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown State tailback Jaleel McLaughlin was named Monday morning to the Stats Perform FCS All-American Second Team.

McLaughlin was one of several Missouri Valley Football Conference players selected to both the first and second teams.

In his junior season, McLaughlin rushed for 1,139 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also was named to the Stats Perform All-American Third Team at the conclusion of the 2021 campaign.

McLaughlin and the Penguins begin their 2022 season Sept. 3 against Duquesne.
