The Sixth Annual Warren Football Legends celebration dinner and golf outing is set for July 23-24
The Sixth Annual Warren Football Legends celebration dinner and golf outing will be held July 23 and 24 at Trumbull Country Club.
Highlighting the Saturday night dinner, which will start at 5 p.m. will be: “The Rivalry”: Harding Panthers vs. Western Reserve Raiders, one of the most exciting eras in the history of Warren high school football.
The following day will be the golf outing, a four-person scramble event. Registration is at 10 a.m. with a noon shotgun start.
The dinner features a grand buffet, open bar, dessert station, and music for listening and dancing. The golf outing includes continental breakfast, lunch, dinner, and buffet and beverages on the course along with an open bar after golf. Other amenities include registration prizes ($50 value), door prizes, competition prizes ($1,000 to the winning team), and a 50-50 raffle.
The Celebration Dinner and Golf Outing, hosted by Warren Pro Football Hall of Famer Paul Warfield, are $100 each. There also is a combination package is $175.
Proceeds go to the Harding football program. In five years, the event has contributed nearly $150,000 to the Raiders program.
A ‘Rain Policy” for the golf tournament is as follows:
“Event will not be canceled because of weather. Attend the other non-golf segments of the outing… If not able to tee off, all other parts of the event will take place, including the buffet and open bar — and all prizes will be awarded. If play is canceled while on the course, it becomes a nine-hole event — if all foursomes have completed their first nine holes. Competition prizes will be based on that. If less than nine holes have been completed by all foursomes, prizes will be awarded by a drawing.”
