Don King organizing fight night in Warren
WARREN — On Jan. 29, Don King is coming home to Warren as he has put together a blockbuster night of championship boxing.
The main event of the night, which will be hosted at W.D. Packard Music Hall, will pit WBC Cruiserweight Champion IIunga Junior Makabu (28-2, 25 Kos) against No. 1 challenger WBC Silver Champion Thabiso Mchunu (23-5, 13 KOs). The winner is hopeful to fight World Champion Canelo Alvarez.
The buck doesn’t stop there. WBA World Heavyweight Champion Trevor Bryan (21-0, 15 KOs) will be featured in a co-main event special attraction.
Two more championship fights will showcase NABA Cruiserweight title as Johnnie Langston (9-3, 3 KOs) of Sarasota, FL will square off against Nick Kisner (22-5-1, 6 KOs) of Baltimore, MD.
The NABA Middleweight Championship will be up for grabs as Michael Moore (18-3, 8 KOs), a local product from Cleveland, will take on Anthony Lenk (17-7, 7 KOs) from Niagara Falls, NY. King is still hoping to add to the card as well.
