Sunday – 16U – Best-of-3 series

Astro Falcons 11, Eagle Wear 0 (Astro wins series 2-0) – Dom Fornataro allowed just two hits in 5 1/3 innings of shutout baseball, while striking out three and walking four. Tyler Staub helped lead a balanced Astro assault with two hits, two RBI and a run scored. Anthony Miller mashed a double among his two hits and scored a run while AJ Havrilla had a hit, a run and two RBI in the contest. Ryan Petro added a hit, an RBI and two runs scored while Stephen Tarnoci added an RBI single and scored twice in the victory. Chris Altieri had two hits in the game for Eagle Wear. The championship series begins tonight.

Knightline 14, DuraEdge 6 (Series tied 1-1) – Knightline rallied to force extra innings, then scored eight runs in the ninth inning to force game three. Gavin Shrum had three hits, including a triple, an RBI, and scored three runs; Anthony Massucci had three hits, including a triple, an RBI and scored three times; Dru DeShields had two hits, four RBIs and scored once; and Mike Sciortino had four hits, three RBIs and scored twice for Knightline. Nick Kingerski had two hits while Nick Leasure had two hits, including a double, and scored once for DuraEdge.

Knightline 12, DuraEdge 11 (Knightline wins series 2-1) – Knightline scored five times in the bottom of the seventh to advance to the final series starting tonight against Astro Falcons. DeShields picked up the win, fighting through three innings of relief baseball. Massucci helped lead the offensive barrage in this game with three hits and four RBI. Shrum had three hits of his own, two runs scored and an RBI. Gavin Mauger slugged a pair of hits, scored twice and drove in a run while Tyler Capan hit an RBI single and scored two runs of his own. Guy Young added a hit and a pair of RBI to the winning effort. Joe Bobusci had three hits, three RBI and a run scored to help pace the DuraEdge bats. Leasure had three hits as well, including an RBI double, and a run scored, while Kingerski had a pair of hits, one of which was a double, two RBI and a run scored. Karter Weitzel banged out two hits, scored twice, and drove in two more runs for DuraEdge while Telesz contributed two hits and two runs scored to the cause.

Sunday – 18U – Best-of-3 series

Creekside Fitness 8, Roth Brothers 7 (Creekside wins series 2-0) – Creekside held on for the 10-inning victory and advances to the finals starting tonight. Grant Voytovich had two hits, an RBI and scored once; Shane Wolkey had two hits, an RBI and scored once; and Aaron Posey had a triple, three RBIs and scored once for Creekside. Zach Lockwich had two hits, an RBI and scored once; LJ Evans had two hits, an RBI and scored once; and Cam Hollobaugh had a double and two RBIs for Roth.

Astro Falcons 15, DuraEdge 4 (Astro wins series 2-0) – JJ Wetherholt had two hits, two RBIs and scored twice; Andrew Russell had two hits, an RBI and scored twice; Will Ray had two hits and scored twice; and Conner Miller had two hits, two RBIs and scored twice for Astros. Jake Bowen had a double, RBI and scored once for DuraEdge. Astros advance to the final series starting tonight against Creekside Fitness.
