¯ NEWTON FALLS 39, URSULINE 37: YOUNGS-TOWN — Ursuline’s furious second-half rally came up short in the non-conference battle. The Tigers (7-4) held a 26-14 lead at halftime and increased the gap to 16 points before the Irish (4-9) stormed back.
Newton Falls was led by Madison Haidet with 15 points and Bree Hutson and Alyssa Dangerfield who scored seven apiece.
¯ MAPLEWOOD 51, BADGER 27: MECCA — The undefeated Rockets jumped out to a 23-1 lead after one quarter and coasted in the Northeastern Athletic Conference contest. Maplewood (12-0, 8-0 NAC) was paced by Marissa Ventura with 16 points and Baylie Starcher with 14. Hannah Gaylog added eight.
Badger (5-3, 4-3 NAC) got eight points from Paige Kramar.
¯ BRISTOL 56, MATHEWS 38: VIENNA — Bella Zirzow had 16 of her game-high 19 points in the first half as the Panthers defeated the Mustangs in this Northeastern Athletic Conference game. Bristol (6-5, 5-2 NAC) had a 31-14 lead at halftime. Brooklyn Swiger added 17 points for the Panthers.
Ashley Deans paced Mathews (5-7, 5-3) with 16 points, while Emma Smalley added 10.
¯ PYMATUNING VALLEY 62, WINDHAM 35: ANDOVER — Pymatuning Valley had leads of 24-9 after one quarter and 42-11 at halftime in its Northeastern Athletic Conference rout. Kendall Baker had 18 points and nine rebounds for the Lakers (8-4, 6-2 NAC). Cassi Clute added 13 points, Morgan McClure scored 11 and Kali Siember added eight.
Zahra Cunningham scored 13 points to lead Windham (3-9, 2-6).
¯ GIRARD 45, LAKEVIEW 30: CORTLAND — Girard broke away from an 18-14 halftime advantage, outscoring Lakeview 27-16 in the second half. Lindsay Cave scored nine of her game-high 14 points in the third quarter for the Indians (5-7, 3-4 Northeast-8) and Sieasia Triplett tallied nine of her 11 in the fourth quarter. Jalaya Brown added nine points for Girard and Marissa Cave had seven.
Lakeview (1-11, 1-5 NE-8) got 10 points from Maggie Pavlansky and seven from Tiffany Bartholomew.
¯ POLAND 81, NILES 41: NILES — Jackie Grisdale fired in 33 points, including six 3-pointers, as Poland stayed perfect in the Northeast-8 Conference. Niles (3-10, 3-4) got a 24-point effort from Aneziah Fryer.
¯ STRUTHERS 55, HUBBARD 27: HUBBARD — Emma Elia poured in 22 points, Heike Kaurschill scored 12 and Chloe Neider added 11 as Struthers (7-5, 5-2 Northeast-8) rolled. Jackie Adler led the Eagles (1-11, 0-7) with 12 points.
