Niles, Fitch at district bowling

CLEVELAND — Niles McKinley’s Nathan Zook took 78th at Sunday’s Division I district bowling tournament at Roseland Lanes.

Zook rolled 172, 171 and 132 for a 475 series.

Austintown Fitch finished 18th with a total of 3,278 pins.

Olmsted Falls won with 4,079 pins, while Copley, Mentor, Perry, Berea-Midpark were the other state qualifying teams.

Olmsted Falls’ Jerrod Green rolled the high series of 728, while Twinsburg’s Kaleb Green was the top individual qualifier with a 658 series.

Dane Smith led the Falcons with a 543 series (159, 197, 187).

Other Fitch bowlers were: Vincent Desiato (139-179-173–491); Domenic Veltri (136-188-161–485); Preston Miller (171-149–320); Larry Iagulli (158-144–302); Kevin Cox (167).
