Howland’s Ochman paces Tigers to win

¯ HOWLAND 59, CANFIELD 43: HOWLAND — Howland’s Alex Ochman scored 25 points to lead the Tigers past Canfield in an All-American Conference Red Tier clash.

Howland (16-6, 8-2) took an 18-9 lead in the first quarter and held off the Cardinals the rest of the way. The Tigers led, 45-37, going into the fourth quarter and went on a 14-6 run to pull away. Ochman scored seven of her points in the fourth.

Kayla Clark registered a double-double for Howland with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Maria Dellimuti added 10 points for the Tigers.

Canfield’s Serena Sammarone paced the Cardinals (14-7, 6-4) with 17 points.

¯ NEWTON FALLS 80, CAMPBELL 29: NEWTON FALLS — Ten players scored for Newton Falls in its rout of AAC Blue Tier foe Campbell.

The Tigers’ Courtney Hankins led all scorers with 14, while Madison Haidet added 12. Breeana Hutson scored nine points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out six assists. Newton Falls (16-5, 11-3) led, 40-12, at halftime.

Ca’mill Marshall paced the Red Devils with nine points.

¯ CRESTVIEW 48, LaBRAE 39: LEAVITTSBURG — Haley Eskra scored a game-high 26 points and helped power Crestview past the Vikings in an AAC Blue Tier clash.

Eskra scored 19 in a huge first half for the Rebels, who led 34-17 at intermission. LaBrae cut the lead to six entering the fourth quarter, but Crestview held the Vikings to seven points in the final 8 minutes.

Marissa Roberts scored a team-high 17 for LaBrae, while Paige Wilson added 11.

¯ McDONALD 51, LOWELLVILLE 22: LOWELLVILLE — A dominant first half allowed the Blue Devils to easily defeat Lowellville in a Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference matchup.

McDonald stayed perfect in the MVAC, now 14-0, in part by outscoring the Rockets, 34-12, in the first two quarters. Olivia Perry was the only Blue Devil to score in double figures, but she was one of 10 players to score for McDonald.

Sam Moore of Lowellville led all scorers with 14 points.

¯ URSULINE 48, BOARDMAN 38: YOUNGSTOWN — Dayshanette Harris scored 21 points to lead the Irish past the Spartans.

Anyah Curd added 15 points for Ursuline (15-5).

Katie Stamp added 13 points for Boardman (12-10).

¯ BROOKFIELD 73, EDGEWOOD 53: BROOKFIELD — Bailey Drapola had 30 points to lead Brookfield past Edgewood.

Becca Litz added 22 points and 11 rebounds for Brookfield (14-8, 9-5 AAC Blue Tier)

Lucia Mozzocco led Edgewood (1-13 AAC Blue) with 22 points.
