Sound off!

Ralph Infante has been incarcerated for about seven years. It’s time we all: Give him a break. Give him a break. Break him off a piece of that Kit Kat bar!

Yet another fight at the Trumbull County Fair! How sad that fairgoers can no longer enjoy fun-tilled family activities without hoodlums disrupting those activities and creating an atmosphere of fear and chaos. The juvenile girl who hit a police horse should be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, regardless of her age. She assaulted a member of the police force. If it would help, prosecute her parents. These kids are out of control!

“Trump and Bibi sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G.” We have a war crimes candidate and a felon who is upsetting the U.S. economy in a dangerous bromance. God, please help us all; this world needs better leadership.

DJT grew up the only son of three willing to enter father Fred Trump’s mafia-tied NYC construction business. “The Don” (and his lawyer Roy Cohn) would take lawlessness to new heights. The Trumps have always looked down on government, or as Reagan put it, “government isn’t part of the problem; government is the problem.” Perhaps, sometimes, this is true, but generally, government is a necessary evil. As such, DJT’s revolution amounts to a perilous race toward national lawlessness.

Ohio relies on three primary sources of tax revenue; sales taxes, property taxes and income taxes. To solve the “puzzle” of dealing with skyrocketing property taxes, I suggest DeWine and his committee speak with our 64th District state rep. In a January 2025 interview with WKBN he stated: “One of them is income tax cuts. I think we should abolish the income tax, much like Florida does.” How can you further reduce and eventually eliminate income taxes as a revenue source without raising property and sales taxes?

An elderly gentleman that we know was a recipient of the day of service from the youth groups at North Mar and their fellow church from Toledo. Pastor Ricky Glenn is commended for instilling the importance of helping those in need. They did a fantastic job sprucing up his property. A very big thank you to all those involved!

What did Trump expect from his angel of death, Kristi Noem, the nut job who shot her dog for being disobedient? She ordered ICE thugs to tear screaming young children from their mother’s arms, before whisking them away to foreign gulags without due process. Did anyone expect her to care about dozens of teen girls dying in a flood in Texas? The FEMA chief smugly replied, “Federalism means states have rights to handle their own problems.”

Postal carrier didn’t pick up my letter from the box out front. I called the post office. The person there told me that they’re not required to pick up a letter. I had the flag up on my mailbox. She said if no mail is to be dropped off, they don’t have to stop. She said I could take the letter to the post office. That’s 3 or 4 miles away. They want raises all the time. Why do we have to pay them and buy stamps if they won’t do their job?

Irresponsible parents. This is what happens when city officials allow people to drive golf carts in their neighborhoods. I just witnessed a mother holding her 8- or 9-month-old baby in one arm and steering with the other, while two other toddlers were standing next to her. No seat belts, no cart seat. Can you imagine what could have happened? Also, how any parent can place a child in a car, get out to shop and forget they left that child in a hot car? I don’t understand this younger generation.
