Support new Warren housing development
Recently a proposal was made to Warren City Council for a new housing development in the Westlawn / former Western Reserve High School area.
I think this is a great idea because it will increase the value of all homes in the area and also bring needed affordable housing to the 6th Ward.
The price of these homes would range from $85,000 to $250,000. This doesn’t sound like low-cost homes to me. Warren’s 3rd Ward Councilman Greg Greathouse wants to put a solar farm in this area. I say put the solar farm in his ward. A solar farm in this area would continue to decrease the property value.
Warren 6th Ward Councilwoman Cheryl Saffold is the representative for this area, and I’m sure she would rather have a housing development than a solar farm in the area she represents.
All Warren residents should contact their council members to encourage the new housing development in the city’s 6th Ward.
