Farmers Market up, running in Warren

DEAR EDITOR:

I am happy to share that Warren Farmers Market returned to Perkins Park on Tuesday from 3 to 6 p.m.

The farmers market vendors stock the weekly event with fresh locally grown produce and marvelous handmade products.

The market’s Kinsman House historic setting overlooks the beautiful Warren Community Amphitheatre where live music will be performed to entertain guests and park goers. Take this opportunity to learn about your locally grown food system and about the creative entrepreneurs and organizations from your neck of the woods.

Another wonderful thing about the Warren Farmers Market is it creates an affordable path for small businesses while serving the community essential and specially made produce and products directly from the Mahoning Valley. Also, the Warren Farmers Market continues to maintain an active role in civic engagement and to unite diverse voices. I invite nonprofit organizations to share their mission with the community.

After spending time at the market, check out the Warren-Trumbull County Library, Veterans Memorial Park, Trumbull County Historical Society, Trumbull County Tourism Bureau, Historic Women’s Park, Courthouse Square, all of the great restaurants and shops or take a walk in the park.

We will continue our vision as a resource to you every Tuesday through Oct. 5. WFM accepts Mastercard, VISA, SNAP, WIC, Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program and TANF coupons. For more information, visit warrenfarmers market.org.
