DEAR EDITOR:

Surely it was a stitch in time. The comedian Flip Wilson used to say, “The devil made me do it.” For me, Jan. 20 was a godsend. Some people may relate to this feeling — after confession, exiting the church, you seemed to feel lighter. The swearing in of our new president and vice president took a load off my everyday expectations with our working government.

A sure sign of relief is knowing the performing arts in our county are back to normal. It remains a breath of fresh air that helps bind us together. I am happy to see now, America having a song in its heart along with rhythm in its step, now moving forward. Looking back, we might all say, “The devil made me do it,” when our nation’s clocks having remorselessly struck 13.
