Small efforts can save lives in COVID fight
Both my son and daughter-in-law are physicians.
My son is on the front lines fighting COVID-19 at St. Joseph Warren Hospital. He is a type 1 diabetic, which makes him high risk for the COVID-19 virus.
Still, he is taking care of COVID-19 patients every day.
I am asking everyone to please take precautions when going out. People seem to be ignoring the dangers.
If you’re not wearing your mask because you’re trying to make a political statement, or you’re uncomfortable, or your glasses steam up, or maybe you are just being defiant, think of my son and others risking their lives to take care of the sick.
This is a mother’s plea. Please think of how you could be infecting and endangering someone’s life.
Wear masks, wash hands and social distance. These are simple things that you can do to possibly save my son’s life.
