Project shows kindness, service
After reading the Tribune article about the Lincoln PK-8 school turkey giveaway for deserving families, I felt compelled to praise this wonderful act of kindness.
The act of compassion exhibited by Nicky Frankos and the board of the Nick Frankos Memorial Scholarship Fund is just a small fraction of what Nicky and his wife Bonnie do for this community. Nicky has been a close friend of mine for over 30 years, and he continues to amaze me with his generosity and commitment to children, young adults and seniors.
His father was a long-time Warren School Board of Education member who taught his son to “pay forward” to his community. As they say, “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.” He continues to honor his father’s legacy by his acts of kindness and service.
