Support Trumbull library levy renewal
During my 37 years as an educator, I was awarded a number of National Endowment for the Humanities awards. These awards enabled me to study at some of the finest libraries in the United States. Thus, I have learned a lot about library personnel, services and facilities.
Since my retirement, I have been a regular patron of the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library. The staff of the library certainly deserves applause and appreciation. I have enjoyed outstanding lecturers and programs at the facility. Staff members have organized stimulating book discussions. Reference librarians have worked diligently to locate requested materials. Many patrons acquire computer skills working with knowledgeable instructors. The programs and services certainly exceed the scope of this letter.
Yes, I have a request. I want voters to approve the library levy that will appear on the Nov. 5, 2019, ballot. Before Nov. 5, visit one of our Trumbull County libraries. Talk to the staff and patrons who are using the services and facilities. I am sure you will hear numerous reasons why this levy should be passed.
