Funds transfer will trigger base closure

DEAR EDITOR:

I’m tired of local Republicans standing up for this man in the White House. Remember in his tax bill of November 2017, General Motors got tax breaks to move the Cruze to Mexico. GM’s cut was $240 million.

President Obama bailed out Chrysler and GM and took trouble from the GOP, but he took new GM stock for collateral. When the government sold the last of the stock, the treasury made a gain on the loan.

The Youngstown Air Reserve Station has the money to upgrade, or it must close according to a law passed after 9/11. If the president takes that appropriation to build a wall, then the local Air Reserve Station must close.
