Removing rights not answer to gun violence

DEAR EDITOR:

There has been another mass shooting in this country. Twelve people killed in the Virginia carnage. I’m sure all the anti-gun people will be beating their war drums to rid society of the evil of guns. Politicians will stand and make speeches. But we, as a nation, must move in the right direction to identify those who should not have access to firearms and to safeguard the rights of those who have the right to possess guns.

This will not happen overnight, and it will require a great deal of common sense and understanding of those who have mental issues. Finding those with issues will not be an easy task. A psychopath is like a chameleon hiding in plain sight waiting to strike. Finding a solution will be a long process with many trials and errors. Patience will be strained on both sides. We, however, must stay on course to find a solution we all can accept.
