Nursing plays important role

DEAR EDITOR:

Nurses play an instrumental role in delivering health care to the community. As frontline care providers, they also carry more than just the title of nurse — they are caregivers, communicators, friends, superheroes and so much more.

I know the days can be exhausting and draining both mentally and physically, but the satisfaction that comes from helping a patient heal far offsets any long day. The patient always comes first. It’s this dedicated service, kindness and skill that symbolizes and allows us to carry out our mission of providing superior patient care.

As we celebrate National Nurses Week (May 6-12), I want to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to every nurse who is part of the Trumbull Regional Medical Center family and beyond. The extraordinary efforts our nurses carry out every day exemplify our ability to produce the top-quality care we pride ourselves on, and for that, I thank our nurses.
