Not sure if you are registered? It’s easy to check

Tens of thousands of people on Ohio voter registration rolls should not be there. Some have changed addresses. Others have died. Some may not have cast ballots in many years. Getting those names off the registration lists is an important aspect of election security.

Last week, a federal judge agreed that Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose’s plan to “purge” registration lists could proceed. LaRose has put safeguards in place to ensure that eligible voters are not removed.

Still, some Ohioans may wonder whether they remain registered. And easy way to check is to go to the secretary of state’s website: https://voterlookup.sos.state.oh.us/voterlookup.aspx. If you have questions, check the easy-to-use website — or contact the election board in your county.
