Terrorists are killers, nothing less
One wonders what ever happened to using the English language honestly.
Consider reports of atrocities committed by groups such as ISIS, al-Qaida and Boko Haram. Often, news stories describe them as “extremists” or “militants.”
It happened again last week, after at least 235 moderate Muslims were slaughtered at a mosque in Egypt.
Various words can be used to describe those responsible for such actions. They are murderers, killers, butchers — and terrorists.
Calling them “extremists,” for whatever reason, is simply wrong.
