Have a safe St. Pat’s Day
It’s St. Patrick’s Day, a holiday marking the importance of the Irish culture for many Irish-Americans in the Mahoning Valley.
Many Irish Catholics will start the day out with Mass and spend the day celebrating by partaking in Irish meals and drinks with family and friends.
As the day wears on, though, it often tends to get out of hand, and for that reason, we urge our readers who drink green beer and other Irish alcoholic beverages not to drink and drive. For those who don’t drink, be alert and cautious on the roads.
Remember, safety first on this fun and special holiday. Have a plan for a sober driver and don’t overdo it. Have fun, but be safe. Celebration of the day is never worth putting someone’s safety at risk.
