Emily Elizabeth Sjodin and Martin Thomas Hancharenko Jr., both of Minnetonka, Minn., were united in marriage during a ceremony Oct. 3, 2015, in The Basilica of St. Mary, Minneapolis, Minn. The Rev. John Bauer officiated.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minn.
The bride is the daughter of Daniel and Cynthia Sjodin, of Fridley, Minn. Parents of the groom are Martin T. Sr. and Camille Hancharenko of Cortland.
Linley Ritcher and Tessa Voss attended the bride as maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Deah Szymanski and Sarah Hanninen, sisters of the bride; Diana Hancharenko, sister-in-law of the groom; and Mary Bahr, sister-in-law of the bride. Flower girls were the bride’s nieces, Laura and Ashley Peterson.
Michael Hancharenko served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Joe Pease, and Brian Bahr, Aren Bahr and Evan Sjodin, brothers of the bride. Ring bearer was Olaf Cope, cousin of the bride. Ushers were Lloyd Clausen and Jordan Ryan.
The new Mrs. Hancharenko graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Minnesota. She is employed with Target Corporation in Minneapolis as a campus technology recruiter in human resources.
Mr. Hancharenko graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Miami University and obtained his MBA from the University of Minnesota. He is employed with CertainTeed Corporation in Shakopee, Minn., as a production manager.
After a wedding trip to Staniel Cay in the Bahamas, the couple resides in Minnetonka, Minn.
