Ruth A. Wright 1935-2025

She was born July 27, 1935, in New Castle, Pa., the daughter of Isaiah and Tanza Thompson Wright. Ruth graduated from Northwestern High School in Detroit, Michigan, before moving to Ohio.

She worked 39 years at Trumbull Memorial Hospital, retiring as the Manager of Nutritional Services. She was a member of Grace A.M.E. Church, where she served with the Louise Currie Missionary Society.

She was an avid reader, she loved gospel music and enjoyed watching the sunset at the lake. However, her favorite things were shopping and spending time with her girls.

Precious memories of Ruth live on with her daughter, Cassandra Franklin of Warren; two granddaughters, Monique Milner (Mark) and Dara Daniel; her great-granddaughter, Olivia; her bonus son, Donald Daniel; and her granddog and four-legged buddy, Mojo.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her great-grandson, Immanuel; four sisters: Rachel, Lula, Geraldine and Delores Wright; and three brothers: Harold, Clyde and David Wright.

Calling hours are 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Grace A.M.E. Church, 1137 Main Ave. S.W., Warren OH 44483, where services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Dr. Shane Floyd officiating. All who knew and loved Ruth are welcome to attend and celebrate her cherished life.
