Elaine K. Maggs 1942-2025

She was born March 12, 1942, in Warren, to Joseph and Luby Klabutar Vucco.

She raised four children in Howland, while dedicating 30 years of service to Packard Electric. After retiring, at the age of 52, she and her husband moved to South Carolina, before returning to Ohio in 2019.

Elaine was an avid supporter of the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Guardians, admired for her deep knowledge of team statistics and players. Her enthusiasm extended to NASCAR, where she rarely missed a race. Christmas was especially meaningful to her — each year she transformed her home with elaborate decorations that brought joy to all who visited.

Her interests included reading, sewing, shopping for loved ones and watching Westerns. She took great pleasure in finding thoughtful gifts, whether browsing in stores or online. Known for her love of vibrant colors, purple was her signature hue — often reflected in her hair.

She is survived by her children, Cynthia (Russell) Young of Southington, Jeffrey Dallas of Olathe, Kansas, John Dallas of Newton Falls, and Nicole Japuncha of Warren.

Besides her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her siblings, Rick, Joe and Maryanne.

A private service and celebration of life will take place with family and friends.

Elaine’s memory will live on through those who knew and loved her.
