Matthew P. Milone 1955-2025
HOWLAND — Matthew Paul Milone, 69, died unexpectedly, Sunday, April 6, 2025, at his home.
He was born Nov. 22, 1955, in Warren, the beloved son of Paul and Mary Spencer Milone.
Matt graduated from Howland High School, Class of 1973; he continued on to the Pittsburgh School of Arts, which led to his career as a graphic artist.
He worked at various prestigious firms from coast to coast. One of the many highlights in his career was receiving the Clio Award for a commercial he created in Columbia, South Carolina.
Outside of work, Matt had many interests, along with his art. His biggest passions were being with his family and friends and exploring nature. He found joy in music, movies, hiking, camping, photography, and a beach with a mask and snorkel in hand. Known for his kind heart, Matt never met a person or animal he didn’t like.
Matt is survived by his loving mother, Mary Spencer Milone; brothers, Mark, Mitchell and Michael (Christine) Milone; sisters, Michelle Disko (Jeff) Johnson, Marisa Milone and Marlea (Mike) Esposito; nephews, Jason (Amanda), Mark Disko, Joe Pastore (Ashley), Anthony, Dominic (Lisa) and Kirk (Shay) Milone; nieces, Nicole Esposito, Alana (Justin) Coates and Marlea (Kevin) Monti; great-nephews, Jason Jr. Disko, Spencer, Greggory Milone and Spencer Coates; and great-nieces, Kaylin and Laina Disko, Juliette Coates, and Mila and Maeve Monti.
Matt was preceded in death by his father, Paul Milone; uncles, Frank and Ernie Milone; aunt, Marilyn Lohry; great-nephew, Grayson Coates; and cousin, Scott Spencer.
Those who knew Matt will remember his infectious smile, overwhelming laughter and his love for telling stories.
A memorial service will take place 10 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Living Lord Lutheran Church, 851 Niles Cortland Road NE, Howland.
Interment will follow in Howland Township Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Peter Rossi and Son Memorial Chapel.
