Donald W. Denovchek 1964-2025

Donny was born April 26, 1964, in Warren, a son of John and Mary Lee Denovchek.

A 1982 graduate of Howland High School, Donny worked at the VIP in Niles and attended the police academy. He worked as a manager of many Perkins restaurants in the area and also worked overseas for General Dynamics.

After returning to the U.S., he started working for a machine shop in the toolroom, following in his father’s footsteps.

Donny was excited to recently be able to restore his grandfather’s 1949 Dodge truck to its former glory. He enjoyed a variety of activities from spending time with family and his grandchildren, motorcycles, watching birds outside his window and playing cards. He was outgoing and never met a stranger anywhere he went.

Donny was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lee Hodges Denovchek, in 2020.

His memory will be carried by his father, John Denovchek of Niles; a brother, John (Carol) Denovchek of Michigan; daughter, Ashley Patterson (fiance, Eric Jordan) of Farmdale; grandchildren, Tristan, Logan and Liam; niece, Aimee Meeker (Raymond); nephew, Christopher Denovchek (Shae); and two great-nephews.

Calling hours will be 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025, at Lane Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive NE, Warren, OH 44483. A service will follow at 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Donny’s memory can be made to the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County or your favorite charity.
