Waltraud ‘Trudy’ Miller 1941-2024

AUSTINTOWN — Waltraud “Trudy” Miller, 83, passed away Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024, at Humility House in Austintown.

Trudy was born May 8, 1941, in Bodenbach, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, to Edmund and Martha Frahs.

She spent most of her life as a homemaker, mother, and later, a beloved grandmother.

She enjoyed her monthly kaffeeklatsch with her German friends, watching her afternoon “soaps,” and spending quality time with family.

She was married to the love of her life, Richard Miller, for 53 years until his passing in May 2023.

Trudy will be lovingly remembered by her children, Trudi (James) Dunlap of Mineral Ridge, Daniel (Kathy) Miller of Parker, Pa., and Eric Miller of Reynoldsburg; two granddaughters, Danielle (James) Copus of Cortland and Samantha Miller of Parker, Pa.; as well as two great-grandchildren; her sister and brothers-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Trudy was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Miller; as well as her second child, Harry James Everett.

A joint celebration of life for both Trudy and Richard will be planned forthcoming.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Trudy’s name to the Rich Center for Autism, 1 University Plaza, Youngstown, OH 44555.
