Geraldine M. Wells 1942-2024

Geraldine was born on April 25, 1942, the daughter of Grover Mosely and Eva Kennedy Mosely.

She graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1959. Except for a brief stay in New York State, Geraldine spent her entire life in her cherished hometown of Warren.

She was employed at Packard Electric Company and retired after over 25 years of service. After retirement, she turned her attention to her love of children – driving the church bus, working in the school cafeteria and looking after the neighborhood kids – a role that brought her immense joy and fulfillment. She cared deeply for her community and made it her mission to help those in need.

Geraldine was a fantastic cook and baker. She loved hosting joyful gatherings and feeding her friends and neighbors. Geraldine was a passionate gardener and enjoyed creating beautiful English-style flower beds and vegetable gardens. She delighted in being a homemaker. Apart from caring for her home, she enjoyed bowling and belonged to several bowling teams throughout the years.

Geraldine is survived by her daughter, Robyn Mosely of San Ramon, California; her grandchildren, Cedric Johnson III of Memphis, Tennessee, André Johnson of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, and Cedriawna Johnson of Warren; four grandchildren, Silas, Irie, Iliana and Ilia; her sisters, Brenda (Ray) Clark of Youngstown and Delores Morgan of Warren; and a host of dearly loved family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Cedric M. Johnson Jr.; her husband, Jasper W. Wells; her parents, Grover and Eva Mosely; her sister, Faeron M. Pierce; and her brother, Matthew Neil Mosely.

A private memorial service will take place at a later date.
