Mary T. Black 1962-2022

WARREN — Mary T. Black, 59, of Warren, entered peacefully into eternal life Friday, Jan. 7, 2022, at 8:45 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, following a period of declining health.

Mary was born Jan. 23, 1962, in Sharon, Pa., the daughter of the late William Frank and Frances L. Swartz Frank Jessup Sliver.

She was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed raising all of her children to the best of her ability. Mary loved being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and especially enjoyed spending time with all of her family.

Mary was married to Brad Black on March 8, 1996, and he survives along with her nine children, Brian Joseph Yager and Angel Yager, both of Warren, Jonathan Yager of Campbell, Marcus Yager of Warren, Roger, Steven and Dustin Boggs, all of Warren, Heather Kirkpatrick of Steubenville and Joshua Bressler of Austintown;18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Lawrence A. Frank of Picayune, Miss., Donna Limbeck of South Bend, Ind., William Frank of Warren, Tina (Andrew) Petsakos of Warren, Lynda Rodriguez of Miami, Fla., Rose (Steven) Carter of Lawrenceville, Ga. and Julie (Rusty) Brown of Riverdale, Ga.

Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Susan Frank.

Family will receive friends 9 to 9:50 a.m. Monday, Jan. 17, 2022, at SS. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Warren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 17, 2022, at the church, with the Rev. Frantisek Katrinak officiating. Burial will follow, next to her parents, in All Souls Cemetery, Bazetta.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions take the form of donations, in Mary’s name, to either SS. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church, 232 Seneca St. NE, Warren, OH 44481 or to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of SS. Mary and Joseph Church.
