Sharyn A. Cool 1945-2021

NILES — Sharyn A. “Susie” Cool, 75, entered into eternal rest Monday, June 21, 2021, at Trumbull Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her family.

Sharyn was born Dec. 26, 1945, in Warren, the daughter of the late George E. Fuller and Helen L. Dueber Fuller.

Sharyn enjoyed cooking and baking, especially Christmas cookies, chocolates and cakes. She enjoyed her flowers, watching the birds, feeding the squirrels and, most importantly, spending treasured time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sharyn was a 1963 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School in Warren. She married her late husband, Thomas M. Cool, in 1965. They shared 51 years together, having four children together and greatly enjoying their five grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.

Sharyn was an active member of St. John Paul II Parish of Warren and was a member of the former Christ Our King Catholic Church in Warren. Sharyn was a longtime member of the Altar and Rosary Society at both churches and was always an officer, either serving as president, vice-president, treasurer or secretary. Sharyn and her husband enjoyed serving as bingo workers for many years at Christ Our King. Sharyn organized many baked sales and other fundraisers for the church.

In her younger years, Sharyn was a member of the Newton Falls Jaycee-ettes, serving as a president and in other capacities and where she made many lifelong friends. Sharyn started working at Packard Electric shortly after high school and worked at various other jobs through the years.

Left to cherish Sharyn’s memory are her sons, Thomas J. Cool of Howland and Jeffrey (Sara) Cool of Columbus; daughters, Deanna Cool of Akron and Chrissy Cool (Brian) of Warren; grandchildren, Maria (Andrew), Hailey, Ethan and Morgan; great-granddaughters, Natalia and Katrina; sisters, Janet (Frank) Hewitt and Carol Bowlin; sisters-in-law, Deanna Fuller and Mary Fuller; many nieces and nephews; and extended family members and many special, dear friends.

Sharyn was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; her parents; her eldest granddaughter, Amber Cool; brothers, Ross Fuller and James Fuller; brothers-in-law, Gary Bowlin and Doug Cool; and sisters-in-law, Bethel Bell-Quinn and Karen Starcher.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 25, 2021, and Saturday, June 26, 2021, from 9 to 9:30 a.m. at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road N.E, Warren, where closing prayers will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home, prior to leaving for the church. A Mass of Christian burial to celebrate Sharyn’s life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2021, at St. John Paul II Parish, 420 North St. NW, Warren. A private interment will be held at a later date.

Her children wish to extend a special thanks to all of the family and friends who provided assistance, comfort and support to their mother during her recent illness.
