Roy D. Seibert 1933-2021

WARREN — Roy Donald Seibert, 88, entered into eternal life Thursday, June 17, 2021, in the comfort of Community Skilled Health Care Center, after a long battle with dementia.

He was born June 4, 1933, in Washington, Pa., the son of Syd and Grace Allen Seibert.

Roy served in Navy between 1952 and 1956. He remained in the Valley and spent many decades as a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. He spent over 30 years at Packard Electric in shipping and receiving, from which he retired.

He loved his family and always put his wife and children first. Roy could fix anything and “hobbied” as a woodworker. He made miniature, wooden replicas of a golf cart and boat, which he owned.

Roy is survived by his daughters, Sharon Overly of Newton Falls, Carla (Rick) Gless of Warren, Anita (Ron) Scarnecchia of Jacksonville, Fla., and Lynn Seibert of Jacksonville, Fla.

He was a loving grandfather to six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was a cherished uncle to a host of nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his parents; first wife, Shirley (Horne) Seibert; second wife, Dorothy Chovan Seibert; dearest grandson, Christopher Ryan Gless; four brothers; and one sister.

As per Roy’s wishes, there will be a funeral service and honor guard Monday, June 21, 2021, at 10 a.m., at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home.

Family and friends may call half-hour prior to service.

Burial will follow at Niles Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Warren.
