Micheline Hayda 1931-2021

WARREN — Micheline “Mae” Hayda died peacefully at her son’s home, on Saturday, June 12, 2021, in the care of hospice.

Mae was born to John and Mary Mintus on Oct. 10, 1931, the youngest of 11 siblings. She was happily married 56 years to Henry Hayda until his death in 2009.

The Haydas had four children, Michael, Bruce, Karen and Gregg. They raised their family in their first home at Brookside Park, later moving to Celestial Drive in Howland.

Both Mae and Henry were lifelong employees of Packard Electric. After retiring in the early 1990s, they moved to Port St. Lucie, Fla., to enjoy their golden years together.

Mae was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry Hayda; daughter, Karen Hayda Takash; granddaughter, Nicole Takash; and her 10 siblings.

Mae will be deeply missed by her family, Michael and Terry Hayda of Howland, Bruce and Lisa Hayda of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Gregg B. Hayda of West Columbia, S.C. Also surviving are grandchildren, Jared Hayda of Portland, Ore., Dylan Hayda of Columbus, Greg B. Hayda II of Melbourne, Fla., Dustin J. Hayda of Avon Park, Fla., Elizabeth Hayda of Melbourne, Fla., and Katherine (Hayda) Blair and husband, Adam Blair, along with their daughter, Willow Grace Blair; and Mae’s great-granddaughter of Melbourne, Fla.

The family would like to thank Traditions Hospice for all the kindness and care they showed to mom and family.

A memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
