Stewart L. Bryant 1937-2021

NEWTON FALLS — Stewart “Stew” L. Bryant, 83, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.

He was born Dec. 3, 1937, in Cleveland, the son of Melvin and Edna Gillespie Bryant.

Stew was a 1957 graduate of Newton Falls High School.

He served our country in the U.S. Army. Stew was honorably discharged March 31, 1964.

He was united in marriage to Mary Louise Farkas, on June 15, 1964, in Warren.

Stew was a self-employed barber for more than 41 years.

He was a life member of AMVETS Post 112 and Army Navy Post 271.

In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, dancing and bowling. Stew belonged to various bowling and dart leagues.

Cherished memories of Stew will be carried on by his son, Daniel (Dreea) Bryant of Newton Falls; daughter, Sarah Ours of Warren; sister, Gloria Bryant of Lake Milton; and three granddaughters, Sidney, Isabella and Danica.

Preceding Stew in death were his wife, Mary, on Jan. 31, 1995; brothers, Thomas and Mike Bryant; and sisters, Dolores Carver and Linda Ferrance.

Private family calling hours and services were held. Stew was laid to rest next to Mary in Hawley Cemetery.
