Ruby Jean Justis 1939-2021

NILES — Ruby Jean Justis, 82, of Niles, passed away Friday, March 26, 2021, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.

She was born Jan. 18, 1939, in Cumberland, Md., and raised in Little Hocking, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harry A. Wilson and the late Isabelle G. Freeland Wilson.

On Aug. 29, 1986, she married John “Mike” Justis. They shared 21 years of marriage until his passing April 7, 2007.

Ruby worked at G.E. Trumbull Lamp until its closing in 1989. Following her career with GE, Ruby was fortunate enough to work with and for some great people at Trumbull Industries until her retirement.

After retirement, she enjoyed bowling, bocce, cookouts with her neighbors, Charlie and Linda Maze, and taking trips in their RV with her husband, Mike.

She is survived by her two sons, Edward (Doris) Marsh of Leavittsburg and Steven (Stacie) Marsh of Fowler; brother, Doug Wilson of Yorktown, Va.; two grandsons, Eric (Lindsay) Marsh of Leavittsburg and Greg Marsh of Champion; and great-grandchild, Waylon Marsh.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ruby was preceded in death by her grandson, Eddie Marsh; sisters, Harriet Avery and Joellen Whitford; and brothers-in-law, Bill Avery and Bill Whitford.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. May 15, 2021, at Kerr Cemetery, Weathersfield.

Interment will be in Kerr Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
