Scott A. Palinkas 1967-2021

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Scott Andrew Palinkas, 53, of Gainesville, Fla., formerly of Leavittsburg, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, April 14, 2021.

Scott was the son of the late Susan Palinkas and Philip (Sharon) Palinkas.

Scott is survived by the love of his life, Kim McCombs Palinkas. They married on May 15, 1999. He is also survived by their son, Cameron; and his stepchildren, Kelly (Allen) Phillips and Robert (Linda) Davenport. He also has six grandchildren, Mason (Alyssa), Page, Taylor, Savannah, Ethan and Braden; and one great-grandson, Lincoln.

Scott also leaves behind his brother, Brian (Raina) Shey; three nephews, Avery, Spencer and Sterling; a half-sister, Allison; and a half-brother, Philip.

Anyone who knew Scott knew he had a heart so big and loving he would go out of his way to help people. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Scott loved to golf, fish, hunt and ride motorcycles. He loved spending time with his son and grandchildren. He was also an avid Florida Gators and Cleveland Browns fan.

A celebration of life will be held at the home of Brian and Raina Shey, 3824 NW 192nd Drive, Newberry, Fla. 32669 on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at 1 p.m.
