Madeline J. McLean 1935-2021

NILES — Madeline J. McLean, 85, passed away peacefully at 11:12 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021, at her residence following an extended illness.

Madeline was born in Richwood, Ohio, on March 6, 1935, the daughter of Bryle and Bertha Partemore Mosher.

She graduated from Raymond High School, Miami University with a bachelor’s degree in education and Youngstown State University with a master’s in psychology and education.

Madeline spent many years in counseling at the Crisis Center in Youngstown. She was a devoted mother and grandmother to her family and attended the First United Methodist Church of Niles.

Madeline is survived by her five children, Brian K. (Deborah) McLean of Westerville, Bret L. (Rosemary) McLean of West Melbourne, Fla., Bradley S. (Lori) McLean of Mineral Ridge, Rory R. (Annemarie) McLean of Howland and Laurie K. Wagner of Tallahassee, Fla.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Sharon Yoder of Dover, Del.

Madeline was preceded in death by her husband, Horace McLean, whom she married Aug. 1, 1954, and who died on Sept. 7, 2008; and a granddaughter, Danielle Marie McLean, who died on Aug.12, 2017.

The family will announce a celebration of her life at a future date when all relatives and friends may gather together. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
