Roger C. Schick 1951-2020

FOWLER — Roger C. Schick, 68, lifelong area resident, passed away suddenly Monday, Sept. 28, 2020.

He was born Nov. 24, 1951, in Warren, the son of Charles and Katherine Ben Schick.

A graduate of Howland High School, Roger served his country honorably in the Army. He worked 36 years as a fitter for Warren Fabricating. A member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Cortland, he had been a big NASCAR fan and most of all, enjoyed his grandchildren and following their sports.

Precious memories of Roger live on with his beloved wife of 43 years, Terri (Goodhart) Schick, whom he married Sept. 17, 1977; two children, Nathan (Shannon) Schick of Cortland and Cortney Cook (Nicholas) of Macedonia; five grandchildren, Raegan Schick, Colben Schick, Chase Cook and twins, Cameron and Declan Cook; one sister, Donna Marquette (Floyd) of Newton Falls; and one brother, Denny Schick (Linda) of Howland.

His parents, Charles and Katherine Schick, preceded him in death.

Services are 11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, 2020, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Dugan Cemetery in Fowler. Friends may call 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
