Robert G. Hineman Sr. 1946-2020

LEAVITTSBURG — Robert George Hineman Sr., 74, of Leavittsburg, died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born June 1, 1946, in Warren, a son of the late George Hineman and the late Sophia (Kozak) Hineman.

Robert was a graduate of Champion High School and was a retired truck driver from RTC Trucking. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Robert was a member of the NRA and nine Masonic lodges, with Kent being his home lodge.

Robert loved fishing, hunting, watching and feeding the birds in his yard and going to gun shows with his grandson, David. He loved cooking and eating the concoctions made by his granddaughter, Destiny. He was a loyal friend to many. Robert loved spending time with his family and wrestling with his grandkids.

He is survived by his children, Malinda (David) Baker of Niles, Theresa (Daniel) Hineman and Robert Hineman Jr., both of Leavittsburg, and Brian Stewart of Warren; grandchildren, Anthony Hall III, Abigail Baker, Caleb Hineman, Diamond (Mason) Young, Devon Hineman-Haak, David Baker, Matthew Stewart, Christian Baker, Camryn Baker, Madison Baker, Daniel Stewart, Destiny Hineman-Haak, Jayme Stewart, Chloe Ann Hineman, Chloe Robyn Hineman-Haak, Robert Hineman III and Sophia Hineman; and siblings, Claudia (Rick) Fox, Cliff (Celia) Hineman, Priscilla (Gary) Graves and Jack (Robyn) Hineman.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Barb.

The family will receive friends 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16, 2020, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where military honors and Masonic service will be observed.

Due to the pandemic and current mandate, masks are required and social distancing should be observed.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
