Josephine Paridon 1938-2020

NILES — Josephine Paridon, 82, of Niles, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.

She was born July 1, 1938, in Warren, the daughter of Paul and Mary DiFabio Francis.

She was a 1956 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, employed for 20 years as head cook for the Niles City School District, at Warren General Hospital cafeteria and for Archie Macali Catering, retiring in 2013.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, Mount Carmel Bereavement Committee, Niles Knights of Columbus Women’s Auxiliary and the Democratic club and was past treasurer of Trumbull County Board of Elections.

Josephine enjoyed playing cards, bingo, the lottery, listening to oldies music, cooking and baking. She also loved listening to stories and reminiscing.

Her husband, Raymond B. Paridon, whom she married on May 12, 1956, died Dec. 19, 2004.

Josephine, who dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, will be sadly missed by four sons, Kenneth Paridon of Niles, John Paridon of Niles, Paul Paridon and his wife, Vickie of Girard and Brian Paridon and his wife, Holly of Niles; two daughters, Maryann Foos and her husband, Perry of Niles and Stacy Paridon (Tom Kress) of Niles; grandchildren, Christine, Stephanie, Steven, Josh, Kayla, Brianna, Elizabeth, Brittany, Alana, Brady and Hannah; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph Francis, Adam Francis and Joseph Francis.

Friends may call Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Due to the current health situation, social distancing measures are expected to be observed and friends coming to pay respects to the family are kindly asked to promptly depart the funeral home after doing so. Facial coverings are mandatory also.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles, where social distancing and facial coverings are mandatory.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by The Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.
