Earl D. Reighard 1927-2019

MIDDLEFIELD — Earl D. “Skip” Reighard, 91, died Tuesday, June 11, 2019.

He was born Dec. 9, 1927, in Johnstown, Pa., a son of Earl G. and Blanche Brown Reighard.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served as a military police officer from 1946 until 1949 in Germany.

He was employed as a truck driver for the Kroger Company and Troymill Wood Products.

Survivors include children, Linda Glassburner, Richard Reighard, Lois Fekete, Margie Ellis, John Reighard, Cindy Yenyo and Paul Reighard; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Wanetta Dorchak, Deloras Ramsell and Wanda Smith.

Skip was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis J. Spory Reighard; and one sister.

Calling hours will be 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, with a memorial service and military honors at 5:30 p.m. at Christ Covenant Church, Middlefield. Inurnment will be in Troy Cemetery.
