Frances Hall 1920-2019

LORDSTOWN — Frances Hall, 98, passed away Monday morning, April 29, 2019, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

Frances was born Dec. 23, 1920, in Warren, the daughter of Amos and Alice Brunstetter Lohr. Frances was a homemaker and had previously been employed as a secretary with the Farm Bureau of Cortland.

She was a 1938 graduate of Lordstown High School and a graduate of Warren Business School. Frances was a former member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and a current member of Lordstown Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the Lordstown committee to incorporate Lordstown Village and was on the committee that brought the General Motors Complex to Lordstown. She was a lifetime member of the Lordstown Garden Guild and a member of the Lordstown Historical Society. Frances enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an active card player and she enjoyed gardening and traveling with her family. Frances had a great interest in music and art.

Her husband of 53 years, George F. Hall, whom she married April 11, 1946, died Sept. 28, 1999.

Frances is survived by her sons, Kenneth G. (Janet) Hall, Jim Hall and Richard D. Hall, all of Lordstown; her grandchildren, Michele (Matt) Riley of Stuart, Fla., Christopher (Carrie) Hall of Boardman, Jessica (Bruce) Ciccone of Columbus and Zachary Hall of Mineral Ridge; and her great-granddaughters, Aleah, Emma and Avery Hall.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Services will be 4 p.m. Friday at Lordstown Lutheran Church, where friends may call 3 to 4 p.m. Friday. Memorial contributions may be given to the donor’s charity of choice.
