Mary M. James 1946-2019

NILES — Mary M. James, 72, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.

She was born May 5, 1946, in Warren, the daughter of the late Richard and Jeanette Carr.

She was a 1964 graduate of Leavittsburg High School. She retired from Ajax Tocco as the office manager after 20 years. Mary was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Church, the Red Hats and volunteered at St. Joseph Warren Hospital. She enjoyed traveling and her family and friends.

Mary is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Debbie) James of West Farmington; seven grandchildren, Allison (Woody) Skiba of Austin, Texas, Megan James of Akron, Michael James of Girard, Zachary (Shelly) Fusselman of Dayton, Tyler (Nikki) Fusselman of Warren, Dennis Ayers of Niles and Stacey Ayers of New Castle, Pa.; six great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Robert (Ann) Carr of Fowler, Richard (Linda) Carr of Leavittsburg and Chris (Swotha) Carr of Atlanta, Ga.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William James Jr., whom she married in November of 1964 and who passed away Nov. 14, 1988; and one sister.

Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2019, at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Road NE, Warren, Ohio 44483. A service will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fr. Simeon B. Sibenik officiating. Burial will be in Sager Memorial Cemetery, Bristolville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made, in Mary’s name, to SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, 180 Belvedere Ave. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.
