Johnie L. Williams Sr. 1941-2019
NORTH BLOOMFIELD — Johnie Lee Williams Sr., 77, of Combs Road, North Bloomfield, died at 10:48 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2019, after an extended illness.
He was born Nov. 8, 1941, in Shaw, Miss., the son of Johnny and Catherine Miller Williams.
He was employed as a long distance truck driver for Foseco in Brook Park, Ohio, and also drove for Angel Enterprise, the business he owned and operated.
He was a member of God’s All Nation Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Willie Beatrice Lenoir Williams of North Bloomfield; two sons, Johnie Lee Williams Jr. of Warren and Jonathan Lamar Williams of Cleveland Heights; daughters, Karen Lee, Tamela Williams-Foy and Scharron Williams-Kane, all of Columbus, and Simone Embrack of Springfield; brothers, Robert Williams of Warren, Wilbert Williams of Huron, S.D., and James Williams of Orwell; sisters, Katherine Baskerville of Rome, Vera Chase of Rialto, Calif., Christine Brown of Warren, Bernice Rollins of San Jacinto, Calif., and Eva Williams and Rose Ann Williams, both of Warren; 19 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Johnie was preceded in death by his daughter, Katherine Williams; one brother; and one granddaughter.
A celebration of life will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Chapel.
