Lois J. Bryant 1928-2018

NEWTON FALLS — Lois J. Bryant, 90, of Newton Falls, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights.

On Sept. 15, 1928, in Chevrolet, Ky., Edward and Margaret Campbell Etter welcomed the birth of their daughter.

Lois married Plummer L. Bryant in Canton. He preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 2001.

Besides being a homemaker, she was a custodian at Union Savings and Trust Bank and was a custodian at the First Baptist Church, both in Newton Falls.

Lois was a member of the First Baptist Church of Newton Falls, where she enjoyed participating in many activities. She enjoyed sewing in her spare time.

Cherished memories of Lois will be carried on by her son, Plummer “Butch” Bryant Jr. of Niles; daughters, Sheila (Donald) Rosette of Aurora, and Michelle (Greg) Rood; brother, Jack (Barbara) Etter of North Carolina; grandchildren, Gunnery Sargent Kyle (Kaitlyn) Tolla, Stephanie Tolla, Heidy Walsh, and David Rood; and great-grandchildren, Grady and Amaya Walsh, and Addison Tolla.

Preceding Lois in death were her husband, and sisters Darlene Burton and Delphia Winters.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2018, at the First Baptist Church, where services will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Stephen Spurlock officiating.

Lois will be laid to rest next to her husband in Hawley Cemetery.
