Brent A. Sipka 1964-2018

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Brent A. Sipka, 53, passed peacefully away Saturday, April 21, 2018.

Mr. Sipka was born Aug. 22, 1964, to George and Harriet Sipka in Warren, but grew up in Newton Falls.

After graduating from Newton Falls High School, Brent enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he served our country proudly for 15 years. While still in the U.S. Navy, Brent met his then wife-to-be, Denice Meyer Sipka. After a lengthy courtship, he and Denice were married Oct. 31, 2004. After discharge from the Navy, he continued to work at the Northwest Naval Communications site in Chesapeake, Va., only this time for Raytheon Inc, as a government contractor. Brent worked for a number of other government contractors after the Ratheon contract. His most recent employer was Systems Technology, where he worked for the last 18 months.

Brent was an avid sports fan. He was a longtime fan of the Miami Dolphins, NASCAR racer Matt Kennseth, the Washington Capitals and PGA Golf.

Brent loved being outdoors whether it was tending to his garden, working on his yard, grilling out or spending a day at the beach. He lived life to the fullest and loved being with those he loved. Brent will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Denice Meyer Sipka; parents, George and Harriet Sipka; brothers, George and John; children, Michael, Samantha and Stephen; grandchildren, Jamie, Raymond, Demetrius and Sheridan.

He was preceded in death by a son, Justin Sipka.

A celebration of life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018, at St. Simon’s-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, 308 Sandbridge Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23456.
