Nicholas Kraynek 1934-2017

WARREN — Nicholas Kraynek, 83, passed away Monday, July 17, 2017, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

Nicholas was born Feb. 2, 1934, in Monessen, Pa., to the late Stephan and Mariah Kraynek.

He and his family relocated to Warren in 1963. Nicholas worked for General Motors in Lordstown as an assembler and in Final Repair; he retired in 1997.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, the Old Erie Lodge 3 F&AM and A.A.S.R. Valley of Youngstown. Nicholas loved sports, especially Pittsburgh teams. He was a great man and will be dearly missed.

Nicholas is survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret (Wisener) Kraynek, whom he married May 5, 1957; his sons, Nicholas (Tami) Kraynek and Dan (Lori) Kraynek; his daughter, Jaqueline Ihlenfeld; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Walter; and a sister, Anne.

Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Lane Funeral Home, Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive NE, Warren. Friends may also call 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the funeral service beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2860 E. Market St. in Warren, with the Rev. Ann Marie Winters officiant.

Interment will be in Pineview Memorial Gardens.
