Thaddeus C. Klejka


TAMPA, Fla. — Thaddeus C. Klejka, 81, formerly of Niles, entered peacefully into eternal rest Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017.

He was born Dec. 13, 1935, in Lilly, Pa.

He retired from General Motors Corp. as a millwright.

Ted was active during his retirement years, spending precious time with his family in Ohio and Florida. Ted enjoyed camping, classic cars, especially his beloved T-Bird, and was an avid NASCAR race fan. He also previously served as the Lordstown Lion’s Club president and enjoyed helping others in need.

He is survived by his four children, Veronica Milligan of Port Orange, Fla., Dave Klejka of Manassas, Va., Tom (Anna Marie) Klejka of Champion and Michelle (Cliff) Lynch of Niles. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and sisters Cecilia Yingling and Joan Watson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph M. and Victoria Klejka; sister, Helen Kozinski; and a brother, Charles Klejka.

A private Mass of Christian burial was held Feb. 17, 2017, at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Daytona, Fla. Cremation has taken place as Ted had wished.

A funeral service will be held in Lilly, Pa., at a future date for family as Ted is taken to his final resting place in his hometown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, the Lordstown Lion’s Club or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Arrangements were handled by the Neptune Society, Jacksonville, Fla.
