Wilburn C. Davenport

WARREN – Wilburn Cornelius Davenport Jr., 55, of Warren, died Monday, April 11, 2016, at Robinson Memorial Hospital, following a short illness.

He was born March 11, 1961, in Warren, the son of Wilburn Cornelius and Annie Edwards Davenport Sr.

Mr. Davenport was employed with Arcelor-Mittal Corp. for 17 years as an industrial electrician.

He was a member of Victory Christian Center Liberty Campus. He also served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Gail Brown Davenport of Warren; two sons, Wilburn Cornelius Davenport III and Emanuel Jonathan Davenport, both of Warren; three daughters, Shalonna Lynn Davenport of Cincinnati, Apre Trinise Davenport of Warren and Courtney Claryse Davenport of Pittsburgh; two stepsons, Ryan Myers of Baltimore, Md., and Carey Antonio of Warren; one stepdaughter, Alissia Brown of Warren; his mother of Warren; father of Roanoke, Ala.; three sisters, Angelius Davenport, Sonya Davenport Lampkin of Cincinnati and Dana Nicole Davenport of Bethlehem, Pa.; and one grandchild.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 18, 2016, at Second Baptist Church, where calling hours are one hour prior.

The family also will receive friends at 728 Wildwood Drive NE, the home of his wife, and 2445 Wick St. SE, the home of his mother.

Burial will take place in Pineview Memorial Park Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home in Warren.
